This CANopen training teaches engineers how CANopen works on top of CAN and how to build, configure and integrate CiA 301 compliant devices and networks with confidence.
What the CANopen training covers
The course covers the CANopen object dictionary and EDS files, communication objects and how process data (PDO) and service data (SDO) are exchanged, network management (NMT) states, the SYNC, EMCY and TIME objects, node monitoring with heartbeat and node guarding, and the boot-up procedure. Device and application profiles (CiA 401, 402) are introduced to show how standard devices interoperate.
Who should attend
Embedded developers, integration and commissioning engineers and technical leads who work with CANopen controllers, drives, I/O or sensors.
What you will learn
By the end, participants can read an object dictionary, configure PDO/SDO communication, manage NMT states and node monitoring, and diagnose a CANopen network methodically.
